Sunny comes prepared!

Girl brought her Baci Boy, food, treats, training pads, eye cleaner, paper towel and even her Vet folder! She is officially a travelling doggie!
Were all in Laval (the Loire region) for the next three days on a business trip. I can't wait to explore another corner of France. I'll let you know what I find out.

What to do with lettuce the size of your head?

No, no! not Cabbage head!
I said, Lettuce head!!!

We bought an amazing fresh gorgeous head of curly endive lettuce at the market on Saturday and now I am wondering what the hell to do with it! Geeze louise! I've made salads! I've cooked it in omlettes like spinach! I've put it in quinoa! What else is there?! I need help because every time I open my fridge the lettuce head seems to have grown and I am now turning into one!

Top three

Why worry?
These two words, considered sincerely, can radically reconfigure the landscape of your mind. Worry rarely leads to positive action; it's just painful, useless fear about hypothetical events, which scuttles happiness rather than ensuring it. Some psychologists say that by focusing on gratitude, we can shut down the part of the brain that worries. It actually works!

Where am I wrong?
This might well be the most powerful question on our list—as Socrates believed, we gain our first measure of intelligence when we first admit our own ignorance. Your ego wants you to avoid noticing where you may have bad information or unworkable ideas. But you'll gain far more capability and respect by asking where you're wrong than by insisting you're right.

Are my thoughts hurting or healing?
Your situation may endanger your life and limbs, but only your thoughts can endanger your happiness. Telling yourself a miserable mental story about your circumstances creates suffering. Telling yourself a more positive and grateful story, studies show, increases happiness. Wherever you are, whatever you're doing, choose thoughts that knit your heart together, rather than tear it apart.

By Martha Beck
O, The Oprah Magazine

These are the top three questions I need to ask my self every few minutes to ensure mental health and freedom from aniexty and depression. Another one that's not on the above list is to ask for help from a higher source. We are never alone and we can't do it alone so why not pray? I'm telling you, it just feels good!!!!! So I ask you, Why Not?

Goodmorning guys! I am on the lookout for a nice practical sweater/coat for little miss Sunny. Yesterday we took our first bike ride together and she was chilly. We need something that Vince will not hate and also something that will grow with her...her belly is expanding by the day!

I threw in the last above dresses for a warm Spring day. I don't know if I can resist!

What's your opinion on Dog clothes. Practical or selfish?

What's yours?

Camille from Svelte Gourmand asks what's your "oh screw it food". Well I have been thinking about it and I was wondering if you can add beverages in that list because I would have to say a nice glass of red wine is my "oh screw it" food. I mean honestly life without red wine.....it's just inhumane!

What about you? What's on your list?

Love and Hugs

P.S. Today is weigh in day and I haven't changed.....I am officially on the longest plateau ever and maybe should consider getting rid of my "oh screw it" food??????? Nah!!! Lifes too short! ;)

Please read her article below or visit her website here.

What’s your “oh, screw it” food?

by Camille on February 16, 2011

rice

I’ve had dietitians inform me dozens (maybe even hundreds) of times that white rice is nothing more than empty calories–that is to say, devoid of any real nutritional value–and should be eaten sparingly, if at all.

You know what? I eat it anyway, at least twice a week, and I don’t stress out about it. It’s delicious (particularly the way my husband makes it, Puerto Rican style: medium-grain, fairly sticky, cooked with some olive or canola oil and a decent amount of salt), and it makes meals so much easier.

This isn’t to say that I eat a ton of rice at a time; I consider it a side dish, and pair it with healthy foods, like black beans and lean beef or vegetable stir-fry and edamame. But in my opinion, life’s too short to not have at least one less-than-perfect food that you consume without guilt–diet rules be damned. What’s yours?

I'm not sure I can handle it!

Sunny and her boyfriend/cuddle buddy. She loves to chew on his nose. True love if you ask me.

Sunny and her handsome and responsible father.

The absolute perfect cuteyness that is Sunny! I have had to refrain from eating her for 2 days now. I have considered giving her back cause the love is too intense. Is it possible for your heart to grow and break at the same time?!! I have already became way too sad then is normal about her getting old! (she's only 9.5 weeks) Vince and I spend all day talking about her poop.

I am CRAZY for my little strawberry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We've been keeping a secret! But not any longer. Yesterday we finally adopted our darling doggie. We've been trying since last october and finally she is here!
She was born outside of Paris on the 10th of Dec, 2010. We've named her Sunny and are both so in love! We just lay around and stare at her!!!
Sunny has a timid sweet little personality and we can't wait to share our lives with her and watch her grow!
Love and Hugs

P.S. Sorry about the pic, I don't have my camera cord here so this is one Mom took for us on Skype. ;) Thanks Mom!

We made it!

Hi you guys! I am so sorry I haven't been here all week. We've been so freakin' busy! Holy Moly! Packing, cleaning, going away parties and dinners and travelling and now.....we're finally here!

We settled into this apartment: http://www.parisaddress.com/paris-apartment-rental/apartment/france/paris/opera/2_bedrooms/VINTI9.html at the foot of Montmartre in the 18th arrondissement. There is room for 6 people! Please please come and visit! We've got this place until March 11th and then it's back to sleeping in a tiny studio apartment.

We are both so giddy and overtired and giddy to be here in the most beautiful city on earth! All I can say is Bring On The Cheese!!!!!!!!
