Grand Place Chocolate

We got home from our trip to Northern France yesterday afternoon with a surprise! Belgian chocolates! That's right we stopped in Brussels on our way home. It added an extra hour on top of our two hour ride home and seemed completely worth it.
We headed straight for Le Grand place for a waffle and chocolate shopping. We found this great shop called La Masion des Maitres Chocolates Belge. Basically is a concept store of all the best 100percent Belgian made chocolate. I couldn't resist! We bought thyme, lavender, poppy, salted peanut and something called crunchy champagne! Can't wait to eat them ALL!!

It's Friday! How does Vimy, Lille and Ypres sound?

It's a long weekend in France and we're headed north. Thanks to the education my history obsessed brother has bestowed upon me I have made it my misson to see the Canadian National Vimy Memorial before we leave France and I can't wait!

We are also making at stop in Ypres for the daily Last Post Ceremony under Menin gate and then it's 2 nights in Lille for beer tasting and monk made cheese eating!

Malta here we come!

Vince's b-day/bachelor trip

Hi guys! We are on our way to Bordeaux this weekend to visit Vince's best friend Alex and his girlfriend Valerie for the weekend. We are really lucky cause Alex is a native Bordelais and plans to show us all the ins and outs of this beautiful and incomparable region of France. Holy Crap! I can't wait! I hope I remember to spit so I can take home memories instead of a hangover! Hmmmm! We'll see how that goes! ;)

We're Baaaaaaaaaaack!

Goodmorning Everybody! We are back in Malta after a beautiful week spent in Paris with Mom and Dad. Paris never ceases to bring out the giggly kid in me. There is just something there. Maybe my soul lived there before? Hmmmmm.
Well we are back where the sun shines bright through my windows every morning and the people smile and shake your hand on the street. I love Malta and Canada too. My heart is big enough for you all!
Gosh what a trip! I hope to share some more pictures soon! It was so blissful to sit back and take my parents in. Their laughter and just the sweet pleasure of being in their company. I must be the luckiest kid in the world! I love you Mom and Dad! Thanks for making the trip and spending time with us! Nothing could have been better!

Off to paradise!

See ya later! I am off to Paris for the week! Me and Vince and Mom and Dad have rented a cute little apartment in the Marais and fully intend to drink and eat as much bordeaux, stinky cheese and baguettes as possible! We only have one goal- soaking it all in slowy in the name of pure french foodie pleasure! We are visiting Frenchie, Chateaubriand, L'as de Falafel and other temples of yummyness!

Mom and Dad left on Monday morning and I was so sad I couldn't write until now. It was blissful to wander around the streets of Rome and then show them our haunts in Malta. Very emotional and joyful and......well lets just say there is nothing as strong as feeling love from your parents.
I have so many experiences to share but I wanted to start here with a picture of our last dinner in Rome. We are standing on a small street behind the Pantheon near the restaurant. We used our self timer so this is just one of many! I can't wait to share the rest soon!

Good Morning Everybody! Vince and I are meeting Mom and Dad in Rome on Friday morning! Yahooo! I am trying to contain my excitment but it's not quite working out. I was up all night long last night thinking about all the beautiful places in Rome to see and watching my parents face lightup when they see them. Gosh there is just something about Rome it's so.... ummmm.... like.... I don't know....old! And I know there are tourists everywhere and little kiosks set up selling crap to them and menus printed in English and German and Korean and all that but still it remains local. Do you know what I mean??? There is a vibe there and I absolutely love it! I dare say more than Paris. Gasp! Italians are just so much more passionate and out there and dirty than Parisians. Gotta Love It!
