These young ladies were engaged for 36 years!!!!! And finally on July 24th, 2011 they were allowed to legally marry in New York city!!! There is a wonderfully emotional 'look book' over at New York magazine that features 15 of the newlywed couples from the first day of marriage equality in New York. The story is by Rachel Baker and along with their portrait she asked the giddy couples a few sweet questions.
