Sit comfortably with your back straight and take in a deep breath. As you let it out, sigh and let your body relax. Do this three times. Close your eyes. Begin to ask yourself this question:
"What's true about me?"
Start off by noticing the obvious:
- You are breathing.
- You are sitting.
- You have a body.
- You have a mind that can speak to you.
- You have a heart that beats.
Let yourself notice more:
- You have a place to live.
- You have some income.
- You have some friends.
- You have a companion.
- You have a family you care for.
Keep taking it further. The things you notice and observe may grow subtler. You may notice that the truth about you is that you have life in your body. And even though you struggle at times, you still haven't given up.
- There's still hope.
- There's goodness in you.
- There's a desire to treat others well.
- You want to love and you want others to love you.
- Kindness is there.
After ten minutes, notice if you are feeling more energy. Observe if you are experiencing more things about yourself that you may normally take for granted. You'll find that you should be feeling a little bit more alive.
Why does this simple meditation work?
Because we deny so much about ourselves, that denial shuts down the very thing about us that gives us life. It denies the very thing that wants to radiate from us, the very thing that people really like about us. It denies who we really are! Because we all want to live from our reality, and not from falsehood, phoniness or inauthenticity, it's the truth of ourselves that we need to live within and what we must learn to embody and present. Living our truth gives us life and gives everyone we meet life.

Sunny and I are on our way to Canada this morning! Yes it's finally here! Time to get to Toronto for the shower/stagette and to pick the wedding dress! We are so excited to see all of our family and friends for the next 2 weeks! Yahoooooooo!
Goodmorning everybody! Just wanted to share some more cute pictures we took of Sunny the first day we got her.
Well March 5th came and went for another year! Yup folks that's right, I'm 32 years old! Wozers! I thought I would feel a lot older than I do right now!
Alrighty Sunny that's enough now. We get it, your independant and all that. Please stop sticking your cute little front feetsies out of your carrying bag like this. And FYI getting bigger is not necessarily better. I say stay little and young forever! Never grown old! eh?! What do you say? Deal? No deal?

Little sweet Lise turned three years old last Saturday and we were there to help her celebrate! Lots of presents including a scooter, stickers and hello kitty p.j.'s and her family and cake made the day extra special. That was until it came time to blow out the candles....dun dun dun!! Lise was apprehensive at first but with a little help from her Dad she got er done!
This is the Miss Sunny after a long afternoon is their garden running a muck! As you can tell the mud pile was her favourite haunt! That little bad monkey monster of ours!
Hi guys, the new apartment doesn't have internet yet! We're working on it and should have it installed next week sometime. Hang in there with me! It's going to be tough week without you!
and NOT the pack leader according to Miss Sunny. She was awake at 11:40, 1:40, 4:40, 6:05 and then I don't know cause my brain shut down until 9am. Puppy training is hard man!
That's it we are out of here! We finally found our permanent apartment! Holy cow that was hard but harder is the packing and cleaning and moving. URGH! I hate it! I feel like we have been doing it for the 3.5 years non stop, wait we have!
.......Well a horse drawn recycling truck of course! In Laval, France they are taking the green initiative to the next level by using Horsey power for their recycling public projects! Isn't that cool? Oh man those Horses are beautiful in person!
