“This was a typical canned fifties photo-grapher’s shot of the father telling the daughter how to make her husband happy. That whole day, I remember having this detached feeling, like I was performing in a play. I hadn’t integrated the idea of getting married yet, and here I was getting married. Anyway, it was a very nice play: The props were all nice, and the gentleman involved seemed quite nice. I’m still getting to know him.” —Pat Mendlovitz Goldman, retiree, married April 1957
“I felt like a princess in that dress. And I guess I should have felt skinny. We did a lot of dancing that day. ‘Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing’ was our song. Incidentally, I proposed to Stanley. If I’d waited for him to do it, I’d only be celebrating my 25th anniversary this year, not my 50th.” —Dr. Geraldine Chrein, retiree, with husband Stanley Chrein, retiree, married June 1961

Every Wednesday I buy a newspaper called Le Figaro for one reason only, Le Figaroscope. It's a weekly insert of all that's cool that week in Paris. There are restaurant reviews, listings for music, theater and advice on what can't be missed. This weeks Easter edition had a large section about all the chocolate shops to be found in the 6eme. After throughly reading the reviews I have my heart set on Jean-Paul Hévin's chocolate hen for my one small Easter weekend indulgence. Out of the 12 chocolatiers reviewed Jean Paul's was the clear winner receiving a never before heard of "everything is perfect!'' review. I can't wait to get over there this weekend to taste for myself! Who's with me?!

There are only two ways to live your life.
One is as though nothing is a miracle.
The other is as if everything is.
~Albert Einstein ~
I hope I continue to see everything as a gift and a miracle. I hope to feel grateful every moment to be alive and able to feel and give love. That's all that's important right?

Thanks so much Kate at Wit + Delight for this ingenious idea! A leather strap six pack harnass for my velib biking riding will surley make picnicking this summer so much more fun! What do ya think?
This is my brother Ryan. He's in London on a two week internship at the Imperial War Museum. The most prestigious war museum for an equally prestigious brother if I do say so my self. We are all over the moon proud of him and jealous at the same time! London! London! Lucky Dog! We love you buddy! Love and Hugs
