They're here!
Bonjour mes petites! My parents, Grandpa and brother and sister in law are here! Oh yeah! We are taking the city by storm! We'll not really. More like wandering, eating, drinking and wandering. Ryan will be lost in some museum some where so I think I'm gonna give him my cell phone so we can remind him that's it's dinner time! ;)
Speaking of dinner time, Britt's only request is Fondue! So Fondue it is! Gosh I love cheese! Goodbye diet, hello melted cheese and white wine! I've missed you my old friends!

Vince's b-day/bachelor trip
Hi guys! We are on our way to Bordeaux this weekend to visit Vince's best friend Alex and his girlfriend Valerie for the weekend. We are really lucky cause Alex is a native Bordelais and plans to show us all the ins and outs of this beautiful and incomparable region of France. Holy Crap! I can't wait! I hope I remember to spit so I can take home memories instead of a hangover! Hmmmm! We'll see how that goes! ;)

A funny thing is happening.....
I am considering the end of meat eating for me. I have been thinking about it a lot lately and especially since I started The Art of Living last year.
Here are some of the reasons I am thinking of stopping:
Putting dead animals in my body makes me feel dead.
I want to eat live food like vegetables! I LOVE veggies and fruit! Love love love them!
Meat is getting grosser and grosser for me to eat. We had octopus last night and I could hardly eat it! One of my favourite animals from the sea! Even eggs are sort of grossing me out.
There is something weird about going to the store and buying a piece of meat all prepackaged and ready. I don't know, just weird seeing it sitting there.
Maybe living in France where you go to the market and the heads, feet and tails are still on the animals is starting to make me feel different?
I've always been interested in food and health and recipes and thinking about meat and where it comes from truly makes me more aware of how I feel about eating it.
I have fantasies of growing my own food and I don't think that includes raising and butchuring chickens and pigs.
I think being on the Dunkin diet last month really nailed the coffin shut for me. All meat all the time was a little more than I could handle.
The meditating I have been doing makes me feel a part of the world and closer to animals and everything on this planet than ever before. It's a strange feeling and really hard to explain. But lets just say it feels funny eating animals lately.
So I am considering stopping all together.

Happyzilla!
On repeat over and over in my head: "This will all get done, my family and friends will all be there and it will be awesome!"
Seriously though I am over the moon excited to be on vacation with my favourite people in the whole world AND getting married to the love of my life at the same time! There is no room for stress or sadness. NO ROOM I SAY!
No more eyelid twitching only smiles and bliss from now on!

Stresszilla?!
Mom, Dad, Ryan, Britt and Grandpa booked confirmed full fare tickets across the pond on Sunwing airlines yesterday in order to calm my panic attacks and uncontrollable crying. Thanks so much Mom! At least my own mother will make it to my wedding no thanks to AC!
However my right eyelid will not stop twitching and I'm trying not to freak out that there is only 1.5 weeks until we leave for Malta! Holy crap my 3 page to-do list is waaaaaaaaay too ambitious!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whittle My Middle by Angela Liddon
This is a core workout that Angela does twice a week to shape her waist. I've been doing the boat pose and the bicycle crunches for awhile now but check out those plank ups! Looks like fun right? Well if there is anywhere on my body that needs to be whittled it is definitely my middle. So we'll give it a go.
Angela is a vegan baker living in Oakville Ontario and originally from Fredricton N.B. Check out her blog here if you would like to learn more.
1) Front Plank with fully extended arms: 60 seconds
[source]
2) Side plank with bent arm: 60 seconds per side
[source]
3) Torso Twists (see here for instructions) 60 seconds
Note. Instead of a medicine ball you can use hand weights or a large soup can/other heavy object.
4) Plank-Ups: 60 seconds
Start in plank position on forearms, legs extended behind you, resting on toes; raise right leg a few inches off ground, toes out (as shown). Keeping leg lifted, straighten right arm, then left, coming into a raised push-up position. Reverse motion to return to plank. Repeat, alternating lead arms.
Note: If this exercise is too difficult for you, try keeping you leg on the ground and just focus on raising and lowering your arms.
[Source]
5) Boat Pose: 60 seconds
Begin in a seated position with your knees bent and your feet resting lightly on the ground as you balance on your sit bones. With your core engaged, lengthen through your torso and recline slightly, avoiding any rounding of your back. Extend your arms straight out in front of you, then extend your legs, creating a V-shape with your torso and legs. Breathe comfortably throughout the move.
Note: Instead of just staying still the whole time, I prefer to bring my knees in to my chest and extending them back into boat pose (one rep, hold for 1-2 secs), all while keeping my feet off the ground. I find this challenges the abs more as you have to stay balanced while moving.

6) Bicycle Crunches: 60 seconds
- Lie flat on the floor so that your lower back is pressed to the ground and your core is engaged.
- Put your hands beside your head & lift your knees to about a 45-degree angle.
- Slowly, at first, go through a bicycle pedal motion.
- Alternately touching your elbows to the opposite knees as you twist back and forth.
- Breath evenly throughout the exercise.

Six Everyday
2. My Mac, i.e The Internet! I am officialy addicted. Being an expat with no physical friends near by makes me an internet fiend. I am always checking my email, mom's facebook, ryan's facebook, the blog, Us weekly.com and the list goes on just so I can feel connected to you guys and not so alone.
3. Morning coffee. It's a love hate thing. I think maybe I should quit but why?! I love it so much and I only have one cup. I am honestly passed out on the couch at 9am if I didn't have one.
4. Mascara. I look like a dead junkie if I don't wear it. I am currently using Colossal Volume by Maybelline but am on a life long search for the best. Any suggestions?
5. Exercise. Same as coffee I love and hate exercise. I love feeling strong and sweaty and that I accomplised something purely physical and good for this body that carries my soul. But then sometimes I just want to lay around eating chocolate in my jamjams you know?
6. I can't go a day without praying. I talk to God all the time. Often I am thanking and begging and loving but most often it's even just a warm feeling. If I haven't prayed for a while and I am living too much in my head I become anxious and weird and emotional and weirder. Praying keeps me sane period.
This is inspired by Taylor's list at Sterlingstyle.net. She's a cool chick who loves fashion and exercise (hello crossfit!!! The girl deadlifts!)
So I want to know about you guys? What are some of the things you can't live without every single day!

1 month until We're Married!!!!
I can't wait to see you at our alter tree Vince! You are the man of my dreams!
Love and Hugs
Have monkey will travel
Goodmorning everybody and Happy Monday! What kind of trouble did you get into last weekend? Vince and I were doing wedding stuff mostly and also caught the France rugby final, the Roland Garros mens final and hit happy hour on Saturday!
But we always have the most fun riding our bikes around town. There's a velib station every 100 meters and we can never resist hoping on a bike to get to where we're going. Sunny is still too little for her own bike so she rides up front in the basket. She's usually happy and cozy either licking the metal grates of the basket or sticking her neck out making sure we're going the right way.
It's addictive! Get over here so we can take a bike ride together!

A little freaked and out of control!
Hi guys my wedding decoration obsession has hit a new level. I am scouring wedding blogs and looking at every reception table I can. Comparing my plan and theirs and trying to decide if I have enough planned to decorate the tables or if it will look ridiculous and bare!
I have crazy decoration dreams where I freak out and there is nothing done and it's bare and I start throwing crappy dollar store streamers around feveriously to fill up the space minutes before the guests show up!
Oh my! Calm down little mind of mine!
Love and Hugs
