Good afternoon everybody! Aren't these pictures cool?! Vince and his sister Delphine went diving in Gozo last Saturday with a company called Moby Dives. It was just the two of them and their instructor. They even saw a few octopuses! So crazy! I was so proud of them!

Good Morning Everybody! Today is Vincent's birthday! He was born 29 years ago in Epinal France, the middle child inbetween his two sisters. His mom says that he was a big blonde smiley baby and then grew up to be a completely fearless badass toddler and young man. He gave his parents a hard time during his teenage years even getting a contract drawn up between them regarding his curfew. He finally smarted up and went to university in Metz France to become a mechanical Engineer and then moved to Canada for his first job....and the rest is history!
He loves:

Must Have this Hat!

Good Morning everybody! This hat is divine don't you agree? I am always on a hat misson. It seems like I can never find the perfect combination of brim width and texture to satisfy me. Until now. I saw this beauty in a UK bride magazine and then again on the blog greylikesweddings. After a little research I found out it's by french designer Agnes B and goes for only 30.00GBP. I scowred her website only to be dissapointed, I can't find it anywhere! AHHHH! I am hoping it's just so new it's not up yet? We'll see. But it must be mine! Reminds me of Mom's neighbour and my friend Simone's gourgeous hat on her Skinny Dip blog and her obsession with one truly cute pink bikini.

Todays the Day

Good Morning Guys! Guess what?! I joined Weight Watchers Online today! Whohooooooo!
I have been overweight my whole life, yo-yoíng up and down. But for the last year and a bit I have been steadly losing weight on my own through mostly exercise and eating lighter foods. The first picture is of me at my heaviest in Barcelona June 2008. I was at around 250 pounds. The second picture is me at my skinnest in Paris December 2009, 2 days after we got engaged. I was at around 214 pounds.
While I was pregnant I was ridiculously hungry for everything and I mean everything! At the same time I tried working out and joined an aerobics class only for the instructor to ask me to stop after 10mins when I felt dizzy. (even light yoga made me what to pass out.) After 10 weeks and the miscarraige I had gained back 13 pounds. And that's where I am today.
I know I can slowly lose weight on my own. But I have a sneaking suspicion that there is an easier way. I want ideas for recipes and motivation from others people going through the same experience and online support. So all this has brought to Weight Watchers. My goal weight is 160 and then to mantain it for the rest of my life. So that's 67 pounds to go. I am so excited to see where it takes me! Does anyone want to join me?

Trying to make my future Father in Law proud

Hi guys, As you know Vince's little sister is here. She's a pescetarian. We love her. So I decided to try and recreate one of our favourite dishes that her dad, Jose always makes when she is home. It's called Bouchees aux fruits de mer. They are basically puff pastry shells filled with a creamy seafood sauce. Very delish! So what do you think Jose? Did I do you proud??? ;-)

Also just a friendly reminder that it's Father's Day this sunday! I know I will be calling my dad as soon as he wakes up! How about you?

Love in my life

Good Morning everybody! I am still feeling pretty empty from the space my parents left after they went home on Monday. But I am also so lucky to be surrounded by such a great amount of love. Vincent is the sweetest most lovely person I could ever dream to meet. He overwhelms me with so much love everyday that I am never too far from a hug or a smile!
With this I am working at getting better and will be on the blog with regular posts in no time.

Why must all good things come to an end?

Goodmorning Everybody!

Mom and Dad left on Monday morning and I was so sad I couldn't write until now. It was blissful to wander around the streets of Rome and then show them our haunts in Malta. Very emotional and joyful and......well lets just say there is nothing as strong as feeling love from your parents.
I have so many experiences to share but I wanted to start here with a picture of our last dinner in Rome. We are standing on a small street behind the Pantheon near the restaurant. We used our self timer so this is just one of many! I can't wait to share the rest soon!

Good Morning Everybody! Vince and I are meeting Mom and Dad in Rome on Friday morning! Yahooo! I am trying to contain my excitment but it's not quite working out. I was up all night long last night thinking about all the beautiful places in Rome to see and watching my parents face lightup when they see them. Gosh there is just something about Rome it's so.... ummmm.... like.... I don't know....old! And I know there are tourists everywhere and little kiosks set up selling crap to them and menus printed in English and German and Korean and all that but still it remains local. Do you know what I mean??? There is a vibe there and I absolutely love it! I dare say more than Paris. Gasp! Italians are just so much more passionate and out there and dirty than Parisians. Gotta Love It!
