I love all the colourful covered balconies in Valletta!
There are big beautiful old trees lining some of the streets
And of course a red British telephone box just incase you forgot this once was a British colony
Good Morning everybody! I wanted to share a few pictures from last weekend. We went into Valletta to visit the Saturday market and ended up wandering the streets and stopping for coffee and cake instead. It was a beautiful sunny day and perfect for pictures. Valletta is the capital of Malta and is about 10 mins driving from our house. It's foundation stone was laid in 1566 and was the first planned capital in Europe. Today it's a World Unesco Heritage site with all of 7000 inhabitants and 600 by 1000 meters big. I can't wait to explore it even more with you when you get here!
Love and Hugs

What an exciting day trip!! And all that history too. Ryan would be so proud of you! It looks very busy, are they celebrating something? It seems everyone always has a reason to celebrate. And everywhere you have been is always so clean. I love the balconies too, so interesting. I've enjoyed your adventures so far ...keep them coming..
